Tk 52 cr budget for Gouripur municipality announced

Gouripur Municipality has announced its budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year showing estimated revenue of Tk 6 crore 75 lakh 7 thousand 764.The budget of Tk 52 cr has been announced by the Municipal Administrator and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sunanda Sarkar Prama at a press conference in the conference room of the Municipality on Monday afternoon. (June 30) without any new taxes.According to the announced budget, the total potential income of Gauripur Municipality in the fiscal year 2025-26 has been estimated at 52 crore 62 lakh 71 thousand 411 taka. On the other hand, the expenditure in the budget has been estimated at 51 crore 54 lakh 35 thousand taka. This will leave a surplus of 1 crore 8 lakh 36 thousand 411 taka. Municipal Executive Officer Hasan Zakir, Assistant Engineer Madan Das, Upazila Engineer Asit Barman, Officer-in-Charge of Gouripur Police Station Didarul Islam, Social Service Officer Mafuz Ibne Yusuf, Upazila Primary Education Officer Anjuman Ara Begum and other officials and employees of the municipality were present at the time.
