The government has exempted Tk3170.87 crore stamp duty (tax) for SS Power-1 limited, a sister concerned of Alam Group.
In order to build two coal-based power plants at Bashkhali in Chattagram, the duty was exempted in the land lease agreement and the stamp duty imposed on the registration of the financial documents.
On Wednesday, a gazette notification issued signed by the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Senior ERD Secretary, Md. Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
