Miscreants looted around Tk 29 lakh from the vault of a sub-branch of IFIC Bank in Sadar upazila of Bogura early Thursday.
Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Saihan Oliullah said officials of the sub-branch at Matidala discovered the vault open and Tk 29 lakh missing on Thursday morning and informed the police.
However, the bank had no security guard during the incident, he said.
