A gang of unidentified armed miscreants shot at two persons in a jewelry shop in the city’s Tantibazar area and snatched Tk 15 lakh from them on Wednesday night. The bullet injured persons have been identified as Khorshed Alam, 50, owner of the shop, and Jewel Mia, 28, an employee. Duty Officer confirmed the matter and said that a gang of unidentified miscreants shot at Khorshed and Jewel inside the shop at Tantibazar and snatched Tk 15 lakh around 7:30 pm.
The police is trying to recover the snatched money as early as possible, the police official said.
He added that the injured persons have been sent to a hospital in the capital.
