Tigers take on Pakistan in last ICC Champions Trophy match today

Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Pakistan Cricket team today in their last Group-A match of the ICC Champions Trophy at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan.
The match will begin at 3:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports, private satellite channel Nagorik TV will telecast the match live.
Captain of the Tigers Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead his team, while Captain of Pakistan Cricket team Mohammad Rizwan will lead his team. Before today’s match, Bangladesh and Pakistan faced each other in 39 ODI matches. Of them, the Tigers won five games, while Pakistan recorded 34 clashes.
Hosts Pakistan and Bangladesh have no chance to play in the semi-finals. So, the winning team of this match will not get any opportunity to take part in the last-four. That means the today’s match will be a dead runner test.
Pakistan made a poor start in their Group-A campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy as the hosts suffered a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in their opening match on February 19.
Pakistan lost to India by six wickets in their second Group-A match on February 23.
On the other hand, Bangladesh had a sorrow start as the Tigers tasted a six-wicket defeat to India in their first Group-A match on February 20.
The Tigers lost to New Zealand by five wickets in their second Group-A match on February 24.
India and New Zealand confirmed their semi-final berths gaining four points each from two matches.
Pakistan and Bangladesh failed to earn any point playing two matches.
New Zealand will face India in their last Group-A match on March 2. The winning team will be the champions of the Group-A.
As a participating team Bangladesh have already earned Taka three crore. If Bangladesh can defeat Pakistan, the Tigers will get more Taka forty one lakh eight thousand twenty six.
Meanwhile, the BBC forecast that the probability of the rain on the match-day is more than 75%.
