Tigers reach Chennai

Members of Bangladesh National Cricket squad reached Chennai of India on Sunday to play two-Test cricket series against India National Cricket team at the two different venues of India. The two-Test cricket series between Bangladesh and India is a part of International Cricket Council (ICC) World Test Championship (WTC).
Bangladesh National Cricket team won the historic two-Test series 2-0 against Pakistan National Cricket team recently. It was the maiden Test series victory for the Tigers against Pakistan.
Bangladesh National Cricket team defeated Pakistan National Cricket team by 10 wickets in the first Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan on August 25. Bangladesh beat Pakistan by six wickets in the second Test match at the same venue on September 3. So, the players of Bangladesh Cricket team are now in a festive mood.
The first Test cricket match between Bangladesh team and India team will be held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19 to September 23.
The second Test cricket match between Bangladesh team and India team will take place at Green Park in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1.
Marking the India two-game Test series, members of Bangladesh National Cricket squad seriously took part in their practice sessions at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
The 15 players of Bangladesh National Cricket squad left the city yesterday. Shakib Al Hasan will join the Bangladesh Cricket squad from England.
Before leaving Bangladesh for India, Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto said, ” We shall try to perform a better brand of cricket. We have a plan to win against our opponent. We shall play to fulfill the target. I have taken a good preparation. I shall try my level best to give contribution to my team.”
Shanto said, ” The upcoming series will be challenging for us. According to the points table of ICC WTC, India have taken a better position than us. I have consulted with our Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha. We will have practice sessions at Chennai. I hope we shall bring a good result.”
After the Test series, the Tigers and India will play three-game Twenty20 International (T20I) series at the different venues in India.
