The second Test cricket match between Bangladesh and South Africa will start today at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country.

The first day play of the 2nd and final Test will begin at 10:00am (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.

Captain of Tigers Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead his squad, while Captain of Proteas Aiden Markram will lead his squad.

Bangladesh tasted a seven-wicket defeat to South Africa in the first Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on October 24.

The two-Test series between Bangladesh and South Africa is part of ICC World Test Championship. Bangladesh have to win Chattogram Test if they want to avoid series defeat.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and South Africa played 15 Test cricket games each other. Of them, South Africa registered 13 victories, while rest of the two occasions ended in draws.

Bangladesh team took part in a full-fledged practice session at the match-venue on Monday.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is passing a bad time. There is a rumour in Bangladesh’s cricket arena that Shanto has a desire to leave his captaincy from all three formats (Test, ODI, T20I).

Shanto failed to lead the Tigers successfully and he is also facing a run-drought. So, cricket critics of the country are criticizing him.

Experienced and prolific spinner Taijul Islam, who is now a good rhythm said, he is prepared to take the duty of captaincy of Bangladesh Cricket team.

Meanwhile, the Team Management of the Bangladesh Cricket Board has made a change in Bangladesh’s squad. It included Makidul Islam Ankon instead of Jaker Ali Anik.
