Tigers-Ireland do-or-die T20I today

Bangladesh Cricket team will meet Ireland Cricket team in their last and final Twenty20 International (T20I) match today at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country. It is do-or-die match for both sides as the three-match T20I series is now 1-1. Captain of Tigers Litton Das will lead his side, while Captain of Ireland Paul Stirling will lead his squad.

The winning team of the last T20I match will clinch the series. The match will begin at 2:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Earlier, Ireland registered an easy 39-run victory in the first T20I on November 27 at the same venue.

The Tigers took a sweet revenge over Ireland after defeating them by four wickets in the second T20I on November 29 at the same venue.

Before today’s match, Bangladesh and Ireland faced each other in ten T20I matches. Of them, the Tigers posted six victories, while Ireland recorded three victories and rest of the one match ended without any result.

Pace Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Shaun Tait said, ” We shall give attention to play a better brand of cricket and will concentrate to win the match against our opponents. When any team won a match they will get self confidence. I think we shall get confidence as we won the last T20I match against Ireland. If we can boost up from that win, we shall win tomorrow’s the match.”

He said, ” Ireland are playing good cricket for some days. They have some good cricketers in their squad. They are fighting side. We also want to get a challenge. Our next mission is ICC t20 World Cup. This tournament will be the best stage for T20I cricket.”

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the groups and fixtures of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Bangladesh, England, West Indies, Nepal and Italy are billed in Group-C. England emerged two times champions in the ICC T20 World Cup, while West Indies also clinched the ICC T20 World Cup for two times.

To mark the ICC T20 World Cup, the Bangladesh bowling coach said, ” It is not important, which team are our opponents. We have to play good cricket against all our rivals teams. Before the World Cup, our boys will play BPL and practice matches. We shall get chance to prepare from those matches.”
