Bangladesh Cricket team will face off West Indies Cricket team in their first Twenty20 International (T20I) match today at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country.
The match will start at 6:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). The match will be aired live by private satellite sports channel T Sports.
Captain of the Tigers Litton Das will lead his out-fit, while Captain of Caribbeans Shai Hope will lead his side. Before today’s match, Bangladesh and West Indies faced each other in 19 T20I matches.
Of them, the Tigers registered eight victories, while West Indies posted nine wins and rest of the two matches ended without any results.
The Tigers are highly motivated as they clinched the ODI series 2-1 against West Indies recently. Bangladesh Cricket squad and West Indies Cricket squad are now Chattogram to play the three-match T20I series.
The wicket of Chattogram is different than that of Dhaka. The colour of the wicket is green and there are grasses in the wicket.
Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Litton Das said, ” Bangladesh Cricket team have been playing cricket for a long time.
I hope those cricketers, who have been playing in our team will present a better brand of cricket.”
Bangladesh Cricket team have been passing a superb time under captaincy of Litton Das. Bangladesh won four consecutive T20I series at home and abroad.
Litton said, ” Our performance in T20I cricket is better day after day. Though our past performance was not good in this format, but we have been trying to go forward.
In the past our performance was good in ODI format. But we could not improve in that format. We are thinking about that. We are trying to come out from that situation and we are working to improve our performance in ODI cricket.”
