Thousands of City dwellers today attended the “Barshabaran Ananda Shobhajatra” on Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year 1432, in an inclusive manner and festivity.
Members belonging to different religious communities including ethnic groups jointly celebrated ‘Pahela Baishakh” for the first time with much enthusiastic and festivities.
The central celebration of “Borshoboron Anondo Shovajatra” began from Dhaka University campus at 9:00 am and ended at 10:30 am after parading through Shahbagh intersection, with the participation of cross section of people including teachers, students, artists, poets and other city dwellers.
