Former Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Md Golam Saklain from the Gulshan Division of Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has lost his job after being proved to have an immoral relationship with film actress Pori Moni. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to give him ‘compulsory retirement’ from the job. The opinion of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has been sought in this regard.
This time popular model-actress and lawyer Jannatul Ferdoush Peya, popularly known as Peya Jannatul made a serious complaint against Golam Saklain.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon, Peya Jannatul wrote, “This is the man (Golam Saklain), who was in charge of DB in my father’s ‘FR Tower’ case. About 6/7 days I and mother used to go to DB office to see my father. This is the person who fraudulently and forcibly tried to obtain my father’s consent for deposition under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.”
Peya also wrote, “I advised my father not to agree, because he was not involved in this incident at all. But before I reached the DB office, he took a written statement from Saklain’s father and submitted it to the court the next day. He got angry with me for interfering in these matters and asked father and me to keep quiet. But he did not know, I was not born to be silent.”
Describing the incident, Peya Jannatul also wrote, “On the day he arrested my father as the landlord for the FR Tower fire, my father was so ill that he had to go to the hospital. At that time my father was 57 years old.”
While talking about Saklain, Peya Jannatul told this correspondent, “In my opinion, this Saklain man is very sharp, talented and cunning. But his one mistake ruined everything. Although we forgive people for their misdeeds, but nature and all beings are always there to judge rightly.”
