In 2023, a drama titled ‘Sweet Kiss’ directed by Jakaria Showkhin was released on YouTube and received a great response from the audience. Jovan and Keya Payel played the two main roles in this drama. However, there was another character in this drama that impressed the audience. The actress played the role of Jovan and Keya Payel’s senior.
At the beginning of the drama, that is, after six minutes, in a scene, a dialogue uttered by the actress left a response among the audience.
The dialogue was: “If you are seniors, who are we?” The entire scene of this dialogue was a discussed scene in drama ‘Sweet Kiss’. And that actress’s name is Shertaj Jebin.
Shertaj acts in very few dramas, so she is not usually seen at any shooting house. However, she has already acted in several popular dramas.
Shertaj’s acting journey began with Jakaria Showkhin’s drama titled ‘Ek Mutho Prem’. She began her acting journey in dramas by replacing an actress.
Shertaj Jebin then received acclaim for acting in several other dramas, including Maidul Rakib’s ‘Gorur Mangsho-2’, ‘Team West Indies’, ‘Mission Chand’, and ‘Biye’, Osman Miraj’s ‘Boyfriend er Biye’, ‘Chhelera Jemon Hoy’, Khairul Papon’s ‘Shahririk Shikkha’, Saraf Ahmed Zibon’s ‘Bokulphul’, and Raihan Sharif’s ‘Kobi Sabdhan Samne Biye’.
Shertaj has already completed works on Nikul Kumar Mondol’s drama ‘Jamai er Girlfriend’, and Mahmudur Rahman Heme’s drama ‘Mayaboti’. Shertaj is also quite optimistic about these two dramas.
Shertaj was also praised for her performance in Tuhin Hossain’s drama series ‘Chirokumar Songho’.
Shertaj Jebin was born in Bogura. She is daughter of Ferdous Zaman and Moushumi Akter. She has only younger brother named Muhin. May 18 is Shertaj’s birthday. And in a few days it’s her birthday.
She said she tries to celebrate her birthday with her parents and brother.
Shertaj completed her SSC from RDA Lab School in Bogura and her HSC from Cambrian College in Dhaka. Shertaj also worked as a model in Cambrian College’s first advertisement directed by Sayeed Bappi. However, she was never seen as a model in any other advertisements after that.
Shertaj Jebin has not acted in any film. She is not very interested in working in films. Whatever interest or love she has is only around acting in dramas. She is impressed and inspired by the response she receives from acting in the drama.
Shertaj moves slowly and confidently. So, she loves to work on scripts that she feels passionate about.
Shertaj is a huge bird lover. She lives in the Bashundhara area of Dhaka. She spends a lot of time with animals and birds.
Shertaj Jebin told this correspondent about her dreams for the future, “I started working in the world of acting quite suddenly. Little by little, my love for acting is growing. It’s really nice when there’s a response from the audience. I’m inspired. But I also have plans for business in the future. I’m doing acting, but I want to be successful as a businesswoman. The rest is up to Allah. Thanks to the audience who watch my drama. There is no substitute for the audience’s love.”
