Yusuf Russell and Tashdik Nomira Ahmmed are the two favourite faces of dramas. Yusuf Russell was away from acting for two years and Nomira for four years due to personal reasons.
After the break, both of them have again become busy in the acting arena. Both of them are acting together again in the ongoing drama series titled’Smritir Alpona Anki’, being aired on ATN Bangla, directed by Murad Parvez in Masudul Hasan’s script and dialogue.
Nomira said that she has been acting as ‘Shimana’ in this serial since the 800th episode. Yusuf Russell is playing the role of her husband.
However, even though Shimana’s husband has not been shown on the screen, now the story is reaching such a stage that viewers will watch Nomira and Yusuf Russell together on the screen.
And those scenes were recorded on Saturday in a shooting house of Uttara in the capital.
Earlier, they both acted in the drama serial ‘Radio Jockey’ directed by Murad Parvez.
After a long time, they are acting together in the drama serial ‘Smritir Alpona Anki’ of Murad Parvez.
Actress Tashdik Nomira Ahmmed told this correspondent, “Murad Parvez is my old brother friend. My working relationship with him is excellent. That’s why I like to work under his direction. I have acted in several dramas including ‘Radio Jockey’, and ‘Tritiyo Purush’ under his direction. A few days ago, I acted in a new drama. He makes dramas with great care. My character in the serial ‘Smritir Alpona Anki’ is quite important. I’m enjoying it tremendously.”
Actor Yusuf Russell shared his feelings by this way, “Murad Bhai’s inspiration is my return to acting. Actually for two years I was away from acting for my personal reasons. But I was regular on the stage and in advertisements. Since I have started working in TV dramas again, I hope to act regularly from now on. I’m wishing everyone’s cooperation in this arena.”
‘Veet-Channel i’ famed star Nomira’s first drama was Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi’s ‘Fu’.
On the other hand, Yusuf Russell’s first drama was the popular daily soap Nima Rahman’s ‘Gulshan Avenue’. Russell was first associated with the theatre group ‘Centre for Asian Theatre’ (CAT).
However, he has been associated with theatre group, ‘Nagorik Natya Sampradaya’ for 10 years. He lastly acted in this theatre group’s play ‘Chitrangada’.
