Jamaat Central Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Shahjahan said that if the upcoming National Assembly elections are to be held in a festive atmosphere, the elections should be held immediately by accepting the national demands declared by political parties including Jamaat.
He said these things while addressing the election rally held as the chief guest with the members (RUKON) residing in the city for the Banshkhali parliamentary constituency of Chittagong-16 on Monday (September 14) night.
He also said that the people of Bangladesh want a beautiful, fair and participatory election. For this, the PR method is a very good system.
The rally, chaired by the secretary of Chittagong South District Jamaat and director of the parliamentary constituency, Principal Maulana Badrul Haque, was attended by special guests including Central Majlish-e-Shura member and acting Amir of the Metropolitan Jamaat, Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Amir of the South District Jamaat, Anwarul Alam Chowdhury, and Jamaat’s nominated candidate for Chittagong-16 constituency, Principal Maulana Muhammad Zahirul Islam.
