A theft incident occurred at the service cell office of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited located in the housing estate area of Joypurhat city. The thieves broke the grill of the office and took away cash, a laptop and an internet WiFi router. A written complaint was filed with the police station on Wednesday (September 10). Raju Sardar, the accountant of the service cell office, filed the complaint as the plaintiff.
According to the complaint filed with the police station, the officers and employees of the service cell office of Popular Life Insurance Company Limited in the housing estate area of Joypurhat city left the office in the afternoon on September 8. The next day, on September 9, when the office door was opened in the morning, the locks of the drawers in two rooms were broken and papers were lying in a messy state. 38,500 taka, a laptop and an internet WiFi router kept in the drawers were missing. The grill of the office window was broken.
Raju Sardar, the accountant of the service cell office, said, “The thieves broke the grill of the office window and entered the office and took away cash, a laptop and an internet WiFi router. The police inspected the scene on Tuesday afternoon. After discussing with the company’s senior officials, we filed a complaint with the police station on Wednesday.”
Joypurhat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tambirul Islam said, “The complaint has been received. Legal action will be taken after investigation.”
