Entertainment Report :

Dhallywood’s late popular hero Salman Shah married Samira for love. They met on July 12, 1990 at a fashion show in Chattogram. They gradually decided intimacy, love and marriage. Salman Shah tried to commit suicide to marry Samira. Salman and Samira secretly married in 1992.
Director Chatku Ahmed took the initiative to make a movie about their love story.
The title of the movie is ‘Swapner Rajkumar’. But Salman Shah’s mother Neela Chowdhury objected to the work of the movie.
Director Chatku Ahmed informed that Salman-Samira’s love story was planned to be shown on the screen by late Sohanur Rahman Sohan, the director of the hero Salman’s first movie, ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’.
He arranged the story after hearing their love story from Samira.
After the death of director Sohan last year, director Chatku Ahmed wanted to give life to that story.
Chatku Ahmed started the pre-production work of the movie afresh. He wanted to select artistes through auditions from different districts.
But when Salman Shah’s mother Neela Chowdhury objected, it stopped.
While talking in this regard, Chatku Ahmed told this correspondent, “Sohan took the initiative to make the movie in 2020. At that time, Sohan and I arranged the story of the movie by talking to Samira. Many of their love stories are in the movie. We liked hearing that story from Samira’s mouth. I remembered my story before Salman’s birthday this year. There is no initiative to make the movie in memory of Salman and Sohan. After contacted with Samira, she agreed. After getting the news, Neela Chowdhury called me from London and told me that no movie can be made about Salman. They have to take legal action in this regard. Respecting Neela Chowdhury’s decision, I have suspended the work of the movie.”
Director Chatku Ahmed is saddened by the closure of movie ‘Swapner Rajkumar’, also regretted it. While talking in this regard, Chatku Ahmed said, “It’s not Salman’s biopic; a love story of two youths. Neela Chowhury has no role in this story. I don’t understand why she raised the question even after that. It is Samira’s story. So, I went to meet Samira. Many of Salman’s fans abused me after seeing my picture with Samira. All in all, I don’t want to think about the movie anymore.”
Chatku Ahmed also said, “I don’t want to get involved in arguments about this. I don’t understand what will benefit them if this story is stuck. What is the benefit of Salman who is shouting about murder-suicide for 28 years? During this period, there was no institute named after Salman, no book was published about him. There is only one story in their mouth – murder, or suicide?”
Director Chatku Ahmed has indicated that he can make the movie in a different context in the future even though the work has stopped.
