South Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia once believed that actresses are no longer cast in glamorous roles on screen after they reach a certain age, but now she feels that this
idea is completely wrong.
In a recent interview, Tamannaah said that even after crossing the 30s, actresses are working in many roles that were previously only done by younger people. The actress said, “I thought I would work for 10 years.
When I turned 30, I would get married, have a family, and raise children because before, no one would cast a young actress except her.
I thought so after seeing that trend. But I’ve been working in the industry for over 30 years. Now I feel like I have a lot more to give to my industry. Age doesn’t matter anymore.”
After two decades in acting, Tamannaah Bhatia is now seeing that the nature of work has changed.
In her words, “Nowadays, separate characters are being created for middle-aged actresses. Those characters also have
considerable importance on screen.”
