For the first time since suffering a heart attack, Tamim Iqbal has spoken to his fans. In a heartfelt post on his official Facebook page, the veteran cricketer expressed his love and gratitude towards his supporters and thanked the Almighty Allah for his recovery.
Below is Tamim’s full statement:
“The heartbeat keeps us alive. But we often forget that this very heartbeat can stop at any moment, without any warning. When I started my day yesterday, did I have any idea what was about to happen to me?
By the immense mercy of Allah and the prayers of everyone, I have returned. I am fortunate to have had some extraordinary people by my side during this crisis. Their wisdom and relentless efforts helped me overcome this difficult time.
Certain events remind us of life’s reality-how short and unpredictable it truly is. If nothing else, I just hope we all stand by each other during times of hardship. That is my humble request.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude and love to all of you. Please continue to pray for me and my family. Without your love and support, I am nothing.”
