The Front Page redefines bite-sized, responsible digital news in Bangladesh
Bangladesh-based digital newsroom The Front Page (TFP) has emerged as a leading social-first news platform, transforming how young, mobile-native audiences consume verified information through concise, visual storytelling.
Co-founded by Fasbeer Eskander, a UCL graduate and cybersecurity professional, and Shah Md. Akib Majumder, a BRAC University law graduate, The Front Page was created to make serious journalism accessible without compromising accuracy, transparency, or trust.
Known for its short-form explainers and strong verification standards, TFP delivers clear, culturally relevant reporting on politics, the economy, rights, and everyday issues. The platform gained national recognition for its responsible coverage during moments of crisis, including the July uprising and the 2024 internet blackout.
Beyond editorial innovation, The Front Page has pioneered ethical monetisation for social-first news by introducing clearly labelled sponsor placements that protect editorial independence—a model now widely adopted across the industry.
With a distributed team of over 25 contributors across Bangladesh, The Front Page continues to expand its reach, strengthen verification practices, and invest in bilingual (Bangla–English) journalism.
In recognition of this work, co-founder Fasbeer Eskander received the Study UK Alumni Award from the British Council for innovation and civic impact in digital journalism.
