Notable international names in the draft include Jofra Archer, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman.

The players’ draft will take place on September 1. However, being in the draft simply indicates a willingness to play in the Big Bash, with actual participation depending on team selections.

So far, Shakib Al Hasan is the only Bangladeshi player to have played in the Big Bash League, though he hasn’t participated since 2015. In 2014, Shakib played two matches for the Adelaide Strikers and then played four more matches for the Melbourne Renegades in the following season.

The Big Bash League for men will start on December 15 and conclude on January 27, while the women’s tournament will begin earlier, on October 27, and end on December 15.
