Police detained a teenager named Shanto Das (16) for allegedly rapping an 4. 5 -year -old girl in Barhatta upazila of Netrakona.
Accused Shanton Das, son of Pranoy Das, was arrested from the fire service area of Barhatta sadar on Friday evening. Officer in Charge ( OC) Md. Kamrul Hasan confirmed this incident.
According to the victim’s family and police sources, on Thursday afternoon, a quiet child from the Gopalpur Majhipara area of Barhatta was called to their house, raped and fled.
The child then went home in a bloody state and informed her mother and family about the incident.
The family members quickly admitted to the Barhatta Upazila Health Complex. Later that night, she was admitted to the Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment.
Barhatta OC Kamrul Hasan said that , “We conducted several raids from night to morning to arrest the accused immediately after the incident.
