Team star contributing significantly to textile washing tech: Asaduzzaman

Md. Asaduzzaman an experienced entrepreneur on textile technology sector in Bangladesh. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Team Star Technology.
Team Star Technology is contributing significantly with providing textile washing machineries in the sector. Team Star Trade started its journey in 2009. It has been providing all types of machines related with garment industries’ dry and wet washing processes. Team Star is working keeping human health, environmental and other balances protected.
Md. Asaduzzaman stated these while talking with The New Nation in an interview recently focusing different things of his company’s services, technologies and policies.
Asaduzzaman said Team Star always is doing its business upholding its quality especially over environmental issues as like European standard.
With experienced workforces and supporting policy, Team Star gained trust of the businesses in this sector within short time after starting its journey. This company has providing services in Bangladesh textile sector with technologies of Turkiye.
Asaduzzaman said they have worked in the textile and readymade garments (RMG) sector in the country with good reputation for long. His company is import substitute enterprise which has huge contribution in the progress of the country’s textile sector. “We have struggled to provide necessary and important services to the businesses even during the hard time of covid-19 pandemic and Ukraine war. But we have not get any incentives from the government,” he said.
The MD and CEO of the Team Star said, “We want to the government to give us duty free facility of importing necessary raw materials”
His company has provided job about 200 people. It becomes an important part of the progress of the textile sector of the country providing locally produced machineries in the sector.
Replying to a query, Asaduzzaman said, “We have achieved praises and trust by serving the sector providing Turkish technology and spare based wet and dry process machineries from our own manufacturing and importing.”
Team Star also gets huge praises by providing consulting services in washing plants.
The company is manufacturing capital machines in this sector since 1998 as per the demands of the businesses, Asaduzzaman added.
Replying to another query, the MD and CEO said, RMG segment is a small part of the vast textile sector. He said fabrics have natural colour oil and wax after its manufacturing through knitting and weaving which are needed to wash before dying which means printing with artificial colours.
For these, the fabrics are needed to wet process for washing. After crossing wet processing stage, the fabrics go through different process for getting shape of complete clothing including cutting, swing and finishing.
Asaduzzaman said, Bangladesh become second in the world market in RMG exporting after China. The washing process and technology is playing a vital role on sustainable RMG exporting arena.
Replying on quality washing plant in RMG sector, Asaduzzaman said several garments items need wet process washing after cutting and swing. Denim and Jeans are needed to wash after cutting and swing for bringing fade effects. There are difference between RMG washings and cleaning of our using cloths. We used to wash our daily using clothes to made those clean while the RMG products washing means bringing different effects on those. We frequently see different fade effects in Denim clothing. Those shape could be bring only after using stone washing.
The experienced entrepreneur said, cutting, pressing and fading sections needed to introduce latest technologies to survive in global competitions.
The CEO said many of our RMG industries are using manual cutting process till now. Besides, pressing and folding sections also are lagging behind on introducing latest technologies in regarding arenas.
While several countries’ RMG industries are using streams and vacuum technologies on pressing and folding the RMGs then our country’s factories are relies on labours for manually process on these regards.
There are many challenges across the world on sustainable progress in almost all sectors including RMG. Numbers of fresh and talented entrepreneurs are growing across the world everyday and creating challenges to the remained one.
Someone is running their businesses with semi-automatic technology while others with automatics.
In these circumstances we have to continue our effort to go with the latest technologies in the concern sectors.
There is no alternative to go with the latest technology for sustainable advancement in business, he emphasized.
The MD and CEO said there are very good sign that most of the industrialists in Bangladesh have started going with the latest technology for their further advancements.
