Tasnia Farin, the popular actress of this generation of Bangladesh, earned critical acclaim for her Tollywood
silver screen debut titled ‘Aro Ek Prithibi’, directed by Atanu Ghosh.
This time the actress is doing another movie in Kolkata titled ‘Patri Chai’.
The movie is directed by Aamir Khan’s screenwriter Biplab Goswami.
Arjun Chakraborty has teamed up with Tasnia Farin in this social satirical story based movie.
There are also Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar in the movie.
According to the director, the movie will be shot after the upcoming Durga Puja under the production of Promod Films.
While talking about acting in the new movie, Tasnia Farin told media, “Patri Chai’ will begin its shooting soon.
I will be sharing the screen with renowned actors like Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty and Mamata Shankar, amongst others.
The movie will be produced by Kolkata based production company Promod films.”
Director Biplab told the Indian mass media that the movie ‘Patri Chai’ is the story of shaking a hollow friend in a patriarchal society.
A few years ago a competition was held to find a new screenwriter.
There was Aamir Khan in the judge’s seat.
There Aamir Khan said that he was astonished to read the writings of Biplab Goswami.
Then the Bollywood superstar called Biplab to his house one day.
Aamir Khan told him he wanted to make a movie based on the screenplay of Biplob.
Then the movie ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was made with that story.
The movie was directed by Kiran Rao.
Meanwhile, Tasnia Farin starrer Chorki web film titled ‘Punormilone’ will start streaming from September 21.
Mizanur Rahman Aryan directorial this project also features Siam Ahmed and Shashwta Datta, amongst others.
