Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed suffered a muscle injury during training ahead of the fifth T20I against Zimbabwe. The right-arm pacer was sidelined from the last match of the series due to the injury before the game.
However, the severity of the injury is still unknown. Taskin played the last ODI World Cup through a shoulder injury. After the tournament, he took a two-and-a-half-month break for rest and rehabilitation. Taskin has been playing regularly since his return to the game with BPL. He played the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) after the Sri Lanka series at home, and then participated in the first four matches of the Zimbabwe series. Taskin has taken 8 wickets in the series so far, being the highest wicket-taker.
