BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has conveyed his appreciation to Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus for the interim government’s steps to ensure the security of him and his family.
Tarique spoke to the chief adviser over the phone on Thursday shortly after arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 11:41am.
In a verified Facebook post, he shared that he had personally thanked the chief adviser.
An audio clip attached to the post captured Tarique saying, “How is your health? Please keep us in your prayers.
On my behalf and on behalf of my family, I sincerely thank you. You have taken various initiatives, particularly regarding my security. Thank you very much.”
He also uploaded a photograph taken at the airport’s VIP lounge, showing him on the phone while seated beside his mother-in-law, Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu, and his wife, Zubaida Rahman.
Earlier, the flight carrying Tarique, along with his wife and daughter, landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9:57am. Following a brief stopover, the aircraft reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at approximately 11:41am.
Upon arrival, senior BNP leaders received Tarique at the airport. He exchanged greetings, embraced several party leaders, and waved to those gathered there.
