BNP Acting Chairman Tareq Rahman has taken responsibility for the treatment of Sylhet District Jubo Dal Joint Secretary Ali Ahmed Alam.
Recently, when news of Ali Ahmed Alam’s illness spread on Facebook and various social media, it came to the attention of Tareq Rahman. From a humanitarian point of view, he announced to stand by the Jubo Dal leader and took responsibility for his treatment.
The responsibility of overall supervision of the treatment was given to Sylhet Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury and Sylhet District Jubo Dal General Secretary Maqsud Ahmed. He has already formed a medical board and taken measures to provide advanced treatment to Ali Ahmed Alam.
The medical board included – Head of the Department of Medicine Professor Dr. Hezbullah Jiban, Professor of the Department of Cardiology Professor Dr. Muklasur Rahman, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology Professor Dr. Mustafa Hossain, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry Dr. Ahmed Riyad, Assistant Director (Administration) Dr. Md. Badrul Amin.
On Sunday (September 7) at 2 pm, BNP leaders led by Imdad Hossain Chowdhury went to Osmani Medical College Hospital. At that time, Imdad Hossain Chowdhury said, by standing next to a leader dedicated to the party, Tarique Rahman has once again proven that he not only provides political leadership, but also becomes a source of hope and shelter for leaders and activists in difficult times. His humanitarian initiative is a beacon of inspiration for us. We are grateful to Tarique Rahman for taking the responsibility of treating a dedicated leader like Ali Ahmed Alam. He is also keeping track of leaders and activists from outside the country, which gives us strength. “Tarique Rahman has proven that BNP is not just a political party, it is a family. Here, leaders and activists stand by each other in difficult times.” Among others present on the occasion were Sylhet District Jubo Dal President Advocate Mominul Islam Momin, Vice President Ziaul Haque Zia, General Secretary Moksud Ahmed, Abdul Hakim, Joint General Secretary Mirza Liton, Anwar Hossain Raju, Local Government Affairs Secretary Sheikh Kabir, Joint Volunteer Affairs Secretary Selim Ahmed Mahmud, Volunteer Dal member in charge of Kotwali Police Station Zakaria Hossain.
