“On the occasion of July” July Undescence” Day, a member of the martyr family and July fighters were held in Tangail in July.
The district administration organized a meeting with the members of martyr families and July fighters at the District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque presided over the meeting, along with Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Fatima Rahman Bithi, Md Monirul Islam, Shaheed Maruf’s mother Morsheda Begum, Shaheed Eman’s brother Sujan Mia, and Sujan Ahmed Babu.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stated that on July 27, the mass uprising was a bold protest by students against discrimination. It represented a unique struggle against injustice and wrongdoing in the democratic consciousness. The mass uprising was a complete awakening of a nation’s consciousness. We gained a new Bangladesh due to the sacrifices of the martyrs in this movement.
