Tamim returns home

Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal returned home from Evercare Hospital in the capital on Friday. Tamim Iqbal has been suffering from heart attack since Monday last. Tamim suffered heart attack when he was playing for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited against Shinepukur Cricket Club in their match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the BKSP Ground-3 in Savar on Monday. Suddenly he suffered severe heart attack on the field and rushed to KPJ Specialised Hospital in Gazipur. There a ring was introduced in his artery. Then, he was sent to Evercare Hospital in the capital from KPJ Specialised Hospital. As his condition was not good he was transferred to CCU.
Director of Evercare Hospital Medical Services Arif Mahmud said, ” Tamim Iqbal is now comparatively better position. He is taking normal food. He has been transferred from CCU Unit to Cabin. He will be in intensive observation here for one or two days. I hope he will return home before Eid-ul-Fitr.”
Later, his condition has been improving. So, the authority of the Evercare Hospital released him and the former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team returned home.
Tamim Iqbal’s uncle Akram Khan said, ” We have plan to send him abroad for better treatment.”
The hundreds of fans of this legend cricketer prayed for his early recovery. Though he became well and returned home from hospital, he has to wait for a long time to be totally fit and return to the field.
Tamim Iqbal scored 5134 runs playing 70 Test matches. His highest score in Test cricket was 206 with an average of 38.89. He hit 10 centuries and 31 half-centuries in Test cricket.
The southpaw opener scored 8357 runs playing 243 ODI matches. His highest score in ODI cricket was 158 with an average of 36.65. He hit 14 centuries and 56 half-centuries in ODI cricket.
The dashing opener scored 1758 runs playing 78 T20I games. His highest score in T20I cricket was 103 (not out) with an average of 24.08. He hit one century and seven half-centuries in T20I cricket.
