Tamim Iqbal was supposed to lead Mohammedan in this high-profile Dhaka Premier League (DPL) clash against Abahani Ltd on Saturday; however, due to heart issues, the former Bangladesh captain has been ruled out of the tournament.
Despite his absence from the game, Tamim made a surprise appearance at Mirpur during the match. The left-handed opener had traveled to Singapore on April 8 to seek treatment for heart complications and has recently returned to Bangladesh.
Shortly after his arrival, he visited Mirpur, reportedly to consult with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) medical team following his treatment in Singapore.
