Taijul nominated ICC Player of the Month Award of November

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam of Bangladesh has been nominated the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Month Award of November. ICC is the highest governing body of world cricket. Taijul played the key role to win against Ireland in the two-match Test series against Ireland at home recently. Taijul Islam captured altogether 13 wickets of Ireland.

His average was 26.30. He was adjudged the Player of the Series for his outstanding performance. Taijul Islam is now the highest wicket-taker of Bangladesh. He captured 250 wickets playing 57 Test matches.
If he will get the award, he will be the fourth Bangladeshi, who got ICC Player of the Month Award. Right-arm spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and ace batter Mushfiqur Rahim who won ICC Player of the Month Award.

The other cricketers, who have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Award of November, are: Simon Harmer of South Africa and Mohammad Nawaz of Pakistan.

Simon Harmer of South Africa captured altogether 17 wickets in the two-match Test series against India. South Africa clinched the Test series 2-0. After 25 years, South Africa won a Test series against India. Harmer captured eight wickets at Kolkata and claimed nine wickets in Guwahati. The Proteas registered 30-run victory over India in Kolkata Test and posted 408-run win against India in Guwahati.

Mohammad Nawaz of Pakistan scored altogether104 runs against Sri Lanka in the ODI series. His strike rate was 114.28. He also showed a noteworthy performance in the Tri-Nation series. The other teams of the Tri-Nation series are: Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. He scored 52 runs and captured 11 wickets in the Tri-Nation series. He captured three wickets in the space of 17 runs against Sri Lanka in the final. He was adjudged the Man of the Match.
