Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) has appointed Engineer AKM Tahmidul Islam as Director General. With over 32 years of distinguished service, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.
Prior to this appointment, Engineer Tahmidul Islam served as Additional Director General (Planning, Design, and Research) and Additional Director General (Western Region) at BWDB. His contributions to planning, design, and technology development have been instrumental in advancing the Board’s objectives.
A highly accomplished academic, Engineer Tahmidul Islam earned a First-Class BSc in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1989 and completed his Master’s in Water Resources Engineering from BUET in 2004.
