MSC beat Abahani in rain-hit Super League match

BSS, Dhaka :
An allround performance by Rumana Ahmed saw Mohammedan Sporting Club to record a 10-run victory over arch-rival Abahani Limited in D/L method in the rain-hit Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket Super League held on Friday at the BKSP ground in Savar.
Batting first after winning the toss, Abahani Limited cheaply dismissed at a paltry total of 132 in 49.4 overs.
Due to rain a new revised target of 124 runs has been set in front of Mohammedan SC to chase the target but when Mohammedan scored 122 for 7 in 43.3 overs, rain again stopped the play.
Later, the play was called off and Mohammedan was declared winners as per D/L method.
Ruman Ahmed of Mohammedan was named the player of the match for her all-round show.
