‘Armoured Corps’ playing unique role to serve country: Army chief

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman today  called upon each member of the ‘Armoured Corps’ to play a unique role in serving the country in the future.

“Be ready to face the challenges of the present world by acquiring the  necessary capabilities through modern and timely training,” he told this  while speaking at the ‘Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Armoured Corps- 2025′ at the Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment.

General Waker gratefully recalled the glorious heritage of the Armoured Corps  and their contribution to serving the motherland, said a release of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here today. He gave various necessary directives to the commanders of the armoured corps  units and other officers for the development of the Corps as well as the  Bangladesh Army. Later, the Army Chief took part in tree plantation at ACC&S and a photo-session with the commanders.

Earlier on the arrival at the venue, he was welcomed by the GOC Army Training  and Doctrine Command, Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps, GOC 11  Infantry Division and Area Commander of Bogura Area and Commandant ACC&S.

Among others, GOC Army Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps, Director General (DG) of Bangladesh’s National Security  Intelligence (NSI), Adjutant General of GOC 11 Infantry Division and Area  Commander of Bogura Area, senior military officers of the Army Headquarters,  Commandant ACC&S, commanders of all armoured units including the Armoured  Brigade of the Bangladesh Army and media persons also attended on the occasion.
