Tabith Awal announces to take part in BFF elections for president post

Noted sports organiser and renowned industrialist and famous politician Tabith Awal announced on Monday he will take part for the post of president in the election of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

Tabith announced his candidature at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. Earlier, Tabith had served as the vice-president for twice in BFF. The elections of BFF will be held on October 26.

It may be mentioned that earlier President of the BFF Kazi Salahuddin announced that he would not participate in the upcoming elections of BFF.

Salahuddin was the president of BFF for four times. It was record for a sports personal who was president of BFF for four times. After Salahuddin announced that he would not be a candidate of president of BFF, sports organiser Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin announced he will take part for the post of president of BFF. After almost one week of his announcement, Tabith Awal announced his candidature for the post of president of BFF.

Tabith Awal announced his candidature at a press conference in the city hotel yesterday. He said, ” I am interested to take part in the election for the post of president of BFF. I want all sorts of cooperation who are related with Bangladesh’s football. The formality for the election will be fulfilled when I shall collect the nomination form and then submit it.”

He said, ” The councilors of the BFF elected me twice as the vice-president of BFF. I hope the councillors will cast their votes for me for the post of president of BFF this time. I shall consult with others who will compete rest of the posts. Then we shall prepare our election panel and announce it.”

Meanwhile, Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin said, ” I am prepared for the election. I expect the election will be a competitive poles.”
