In the last over, Zimbabwe needed 16 to seal the match. Mosaddek Hossain, who had conceded 27 runs in his first three overs, came to bowl the last over. He scalped two wickets conceding 12 runs.
The match ended in a dramatic fashion when Mosaddek delivered a no-ball after the fifth delivery that sent Richard Ngarava back. Blessing Muzarabani swung the bat but missed. Nurul Hasan collected the ball and stumped him. But Nurul collected the ball before the stumps and the umpire called it a no-ball.
Right after Nurul stumped Muzarabani, Bangladesh started a celebration. But the umpire called them to deliver another ball. This time, Muzarabani failed to connect the ball and Bangladesh won by three runs.
