The Marcel 4th T20 Corporate Cricket tournament began on Friday at the Dhaka Residential Model College ground in the city.
Planning Minister and ICC president AHM Mustafa Kamal formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
In the day’s opening matches, IDLC beat Reliance Insurance by 8 runs, Europa group beat IFIC Bank by 188 runs and Alif group beat confidence group by 4 wickets.
In the day’s other two matches, Lanka Bangla beat Coca-Cola and Bando beat Philip Morries international.
