Sylvester Stallone first appeared on screen as Rambo in 1982. The character brought Stallone worldwide fame. After that, he appeared in the role four more times.
However, Stallone was not satisfied with that either. He wanted to play the role of Rambo once again.
But he was getting older. The 79-year-old Stallone wanted to reduce his age with the help of AI technology and become a young Rambo. However, the producers did not agree to it.
After ‘First Blood’ in 1982, ‘Rambo: First Blood Part Two’ in 1985, ‘Rambo Three’ in 1988, ‘Rambo’ in 2008, and ‘Rambo’ in 2019, Sylvester Stallone’s journey with this character ended with ‘Rambo: Last Blood’ in 2019.
In the meantime, he has also directed a film in the Rambo series. The production company has decided to make a prequel about the Rambo before ‘First Blood’, that is, the story of the character’s teenage years.
The 18-year-old Rambo will be seen in the movie called ‘John Rambo’. The makers are looking for a new face.
This has left Sylvester Stallone heartbroken. Recently, in a podcast, Stallone said that he had suggested to the makers to consider whether he could be used to portray a teenage Rambo on screen using AI technology.
The actor said, “AI is much more advanced now. It is possible to show me as an 18-year-old using it. It is not a very complicated matter.
After making this suggestion, everyone thought, I must have gone crazy!”
It is reported that Noah Centineo will also play the role in the Rambo prequel.
However, since Rambo is his iconic character, it will not be that easy to play it, according to Sylvester Stallone. He has also warned the producers about this.
The actor said, “It’s very difficult. He may act very well. Still, there are some issues. People have different emotions towards the original film.
That perception of the audience cannot be easily overcome. I faced it while doing ‘Get Carter’.”
It is worth noting that the remake of the 1971 British gangster thriller film ‘Get Carter’ starring Michael Caine was made in Hollywood. Stallone acted in it.
