Syed Mizanur Rahman, a seasoned professional with nearly three decades of experience in the financial services sector, has been appointed Managing Director of Meghna Bank PLC, effective from 4 December 2025, according to a press release.
Before joining Meghna Bank, Mr Rahman served as Managing Director and CEO of AB Bank.
He began his career in 1993 at Novartis, formerly Ciba-Geigy (Bangladesh) Limited, and later worked at Youngone and Beximco before entering the banking industry.
Throughout his career, he has held key positions at Dhaka Bank, IPDC, Bank Alfalah and United Commercial Bank. Mr Rahman has gained extensive expertise across branch banking, retail banking, process transformation, business development and corporate communication.
He has participated in numerous professional and management development trainings, workshops and seminars both at home and abroad, including in the United States, Malaysia and India.
Mr Rahman completed his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
