Swift cleaning of sacrificial animals waste in Eid-ul-Azha

People of Dhaka city witnessed sharper cleanings of sacrificial animals waste making them happy.
Most of the areas of the capital city found almost clean soon after completing sacrificing of the animals.

Citizens expressed their happiness saying the government of course thought over the people’s welfare.

“We have experienced really honest activities of the city corporation’s workers. They come sharp and clean the sacrificial animal’s waste sooner,” said Abu Sayeed, a dweller from Gandaria area of the capital on Eid day.

City dwellers especially the senior citizens said such quick cleaning activities had not been witnessed long in Dhaka.

Sources said, the city corporations’ cleaners were not only cleaned sacrificed animals’ waste but also they cleared all the wastes from the city’s makeshift cattle markets in a quick response.
Sources said, though all the officials activities of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was halt for the last several days till now as BNP leader and Mayor elect Isharaq’s supporters have locked all the offices of the Nogorbhabon.

Amid these stalemates, the city corporation’s cleaners and concern officials played a vital role to get rid of the people from the stinks of the sacrificial animals.

Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has expressed his gratitude to the cleaning staff, acknowledging that their relentless efforts made this Eid-ul-Azha truly joyful. “Eid symbolizes sacrifice, and our sanitation workers have embodied that spirit by forgoing their own celebrations to keep the city clean,” he shared in a Facebook post. “The joy of Eid was made possible by their dedication – thanks you.”

In a separate post, he highlighted that complete waste removal across 487 wards in 12 city corporations was achieved swiftly thanks to coordinated planning, teamwork, and commitment.
“This achievement goes beyond numbers – it marks the fulfillment of our pledge. Cleanliness has evolved from a mere commitment to a tangible reality,” he wrote. Asif noted that Dhaka was cleared of waste within 12 hours on Eid day.

He further mentioned that sacrificial activities continued for three days, including Eid, and it was the combined sense of duty among citizens and the unwavering efforts of the sanitation teams that ensured the city remained clean.

“A clean city isn’t just a vision – it’s a responsibility we must uphold every day. Heartfelt thanks to all colleagues for honoring this duty with sincerity and dedication,” he said.
