With a view to providing super cost-effective medical services to patients, Qualitas Healthcare Malaysia clinic has started its journey in Bangladesh.
Officials of the healthcare group presented the details of their services at a press conference at the National Press Club in Dhaka on Sunday, said a press release.
Dwelling on the healthcare facilities of the organization, they said, Qualitas Malaysia is Bangladesh’s first holistic healthcare clinic equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced outpatient speciality care ranging from chronic illness management to wellness and preventive care,.
The officials said that the healthcare facility kicked off its services in Bangladesh by establishing one of the branches at House-48, Road-11, Block-F at Banani in the capital Dhaka.
The healthcare centre is providing medical treatment and services to people from 9 am to 9 pm every day.
The officials further said Dato Dr Nurul Amin Bin Mohammad Ishaque initiated a network consisting of non-government healthcare providers in Malaysia in 1997.
Dato Dr Nurul Amin Bin Mohammad Ishaque and Dr Shankar Chandra Podder, Country Director of the clinic, among others, were present at the press conference.
Dr Nurul Amin Bin Mohammad Ishaque said, following the advice of the physicians of Qualitas Healthcare, about 70 per cent of the patients can be recovered from illness even without medicines or taking very less amounts of drugs.
He said, “We have to know that medicine is one type of poison and it is better to avoid medicine as much as possible.”
The health expert said without getting proper information about the patients many doctors prescribe huge medicines and a number of tests which can be harmful for the patients.
He suggested using fewer medicines and applying more advice to make the patients fully recover.
The expert said that Qualitas Healthcare used to follow this system which provides low-cost, less harmful and more effective medical services.
Nurun Nahar, a Brac official who has taken treatment from Qualitas Healthcare Malaysia clinic shared her experience at the press conference.
Nurun Nahar said, “After getting seriously ill, I have visited several senior specialist physicians and took huge medicines in Bangladesh. Following the prescriptions of the native doctors, I got temporary relief for some time, but within days I fell sick again.”
