Sujon resigns as BCB director

Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Khaled Mahmud Sujon submitted his resignation letter to the BCB on Wednesday.

Sujon served as a BCB director for a long time. He acted in various posts of the BCB for a long time. He was the chairman of the Game Development Committee of BCB last.

He was also vice-president of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB.

He also acted with the Bangladesh National Cricket team. He was team director of Bangladesh National Cricket team, he was interim coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team, he was also manager of Bangladesh National Cricket team.

The former cricketer of Bangladesh National Cricket team Sujon was Head Coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited. Dhaka Abahani Limited took part in the Dhaka Premier League Cricket.

Besides, he acted as a coach of the teams of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket. BPL is a franchise based cricket tournament. BPL is the most prestigious domestic cricket competition of the country.

Khaled Mahmud Sujon played in the Bangladesh National Cricket team from 1998 to 2006. He was a captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team from 2003 to 2004.

After the students’ and peoples’ revolution on August 5, there are many changes happened in the BCB. Directors of the BCB Jalal Yunus, Ahmed Sazzadul Alam Bobby, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Naimur Rahman Durjoy submitted their resignation letters to the BCB.

It may be mentioned that president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board and minister for youth and sports Nazmul Hassan Papon resigned from those posts. But he has not yet submitted his resignation from the post of the director of the BCB.

After prime minister Sheikh Hasina fled from the country, Nazmul Hassan Papon is now out of scenario. After his resignation, Faruque Ahmed has been appointed as the president of the BCB.

On the other hand, Asif Mahmud is now the adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the interim government of Bangladesh.
