Entertainment Report :
Director Mostafa Sarwar Farooki was with the students since the beginning of the ongoing quota movement. This time, Farooki expressed solidarity with the one-point demand of the resignation of the government, and said that the students were a little far from freedom.
Farooki wrote on Facebook on Sunday morning, “Today, July 35, we stand a little away from freedom. Let’s walk home first, together. Then there will be a long task of reforming the state, a long task of institutional reform, So that we never have to fall into this kind of confinement.”
After a round of students’ demands, many have raised questions on social media, if the government falls, will you run the country?
Farooki answered this question in a Facebook post. He wrote, “Some say, who will do this reform? You do. We, you, everyone do. Let’s say, everyone knows where the problems of our system are, where over-holing is needed. I would like to remind you that there are seniors in this country. Young people want to remind you somewhere. They are growing up with a new world view. After such a big movement, you should not be worried about their ability. A generation outside the country wants to work on this.”
Finally, this director wrote, “Much is anarchy. Now it’s time to reorganise the country. Creating a humane democratic society. Long live the revolution.”
People of the country will not back down from protests without bringing a change, said filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki on August 2.
“Long live freedom! Let’s restore democracy and win back our
democratic rights! It’s now or never!” he said in a post on
social media platform Facebook.
“This is Bangladesh today!! Nothing looks more beautiful than people’s resistance! Students gave you time to change your stance with clear 9 points demands. You didn’t respond positively. You rather made mockery of investigation by filing police reports where you mentioned no one was killed by police. Out of 267 (conservative counting), no one was killed by police! Are you kidding with people by inventing narratives to suit your agenda?” he also said.
“That’s how people responded today. And the slogans are changing too! People will not back down without bringing a change!” he added.
