The interim government has urged students to remain calm and avoid any form of conflict. Additionally, the government warned that any instigation behind such disturbances would be dealt with strictly.
Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam made this remark on Monday following clashes between students of several colleges in the capital.
He said, “The government is closely monitoring the recent clashes at several educational institutions. We urge students to remain calm and avoid any form of conflict.
“We are investigating whether there is any provocation behind such clashes. Any attempt to create instability in educational institutions or any other sector of the country will be dealt with strictly.”
Earlier on Monday, clashes erupted among the students of Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul College and Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College in the city.
On Sunday night, a clash took place between students of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) and Dhaka Polytechnic Institute.
