Students bar BM College vice-principal from joining

Agitated students barred Prof. Fatema Heren from joining in the post of vice-principal at Government Brojo Mohun (BM) College on Sunday.
On Sunday (October 6) morning, the agitated students took a position in front of the administrative building of the college to bar Prof. Heren, an educationist and historian, from joining.
Later, the students met the principal of the college and presented their demands.
The students calling Fatema Heren an atheist claimed that she worked for the AL-led dictatorial government.
When she was the superintendent of Banomali Ganguly Girls Hostel of the college, she indulged with the girls, the students alleged.
Professor Fatema Heren said, I am a teacher.I have no enmity with students.Some of the students are misunderstanding me.The former Vice Principal will be released from here on October 9.

Deaths during July movement 9 bodies to be exhumed

Sylhet Bureau : The bodies of nine people killed during the Anti-Discrmination Student Movement in Sylhet are set to be exhumed for autopsies.
