Student Life and Stress

University life is often seen as a time of freedom and learning, but for many students it is full of stress. A study says that almost 90 per cent of university students are under mental pressure.

The main reasons are heavy study load, family expectations, money problems, and fear about what will happen in the future. These pressures slowly harm both their mind and their daily life.

It is not only about exams or grades. Many students feel anxious, lonely, and even hopeless. But they do not share their feelings with others, because in our society mental health is not discussed openly. This silence makes their situation even worse.

Universities can play a big role by giving students support systems such as counseling, workshops, and open discussion spaces. At the same time, teachers and parents need to listen with care and understand what young people are going through. Even small steps, like a kind word or a little guidance, can reduce a student’s stress.

Students are the future of our nation. If we want them to grow with confidence and strength, we must care for their mental health as much as their education. A strong mind builds a strong future.
