Stock markets on Monday finished the session of the week flat as the major indices of the both Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges showed slightly down amid lower activities of large-cap securities.
DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost 4.4 points or 0.1 percent to settle at 5,152 points, as against 5,156 points in the previous trading session.
However, market participation remained stagnant, with market turnover increased slightly by 7.2 percent to Taka 4.0 billion, reports BSS.
On the sectoral front, textile (14.7 percent) issues exerted the highest turnover, followed by Telecom (11.7 percent) and Bank (10.4 percent) sectors.
