Country’s both the bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — on Tuesday witnessed an upward trend like earlier as investors continued their buying spree on large-cap issues amid optimism.
DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 6.8 points or 0.1% to settle at 5,203 points, as against 5,196 points in the previous trading session.
Market analysts observed that the market witnessed a tussle between buyers and sellers to grab the rein of the market momentum on Tuesday.
They mentioned that though the marlurt opened on a positive note with buyers possessing the helm of the market momentum, sellers emerged to demonstrate their dominance as they preferred to engage in a profit-taking sell frenzy.
