Still receiving response for movie ‘Danga’: Suchorita

One of the movies starring Bangladesh’s legendary actress Suchorita is ‘Danga,’ which was released on January 24 in 1992. Late actor Manna was the hero of Suchorita in this movie. The movie was produced by noted and talented film director Kazi Hayat. Even after 30 years of the movie’s release, Suchorita is now receiving praise from everyone for her performance in the movie ‘Danga.’ In this movie, Suchorita played the role of ‘Chhobi’ flawlessly. Still the movie is aired on various TV channels with or without festivals. The movie also starred Ashish Kumar Loho, Mizu Ahmed, Rajib and others. While sharing her feelings to act in the movie ‘Danga’ more than 30 years ago, Suchorita told this correspondent, “Thirty years ago I acted in the movie ‘Danga.’ The story of the movie, the sincere performances of all and the direction of the director – all in all an impeccable movie ‘Danga’ was made. I remember at that time a movie of Fazle Ahmed Benzir Bhai was also released. The audience thronged the hall to watch the movie ‘Danga.’ In fact, at that time, there was no alternative but to go to the cinema. So, the audience used to go to the hall and enjoy the movie.”
“Even now, when I meet the audience in various functions or somewhere, they remember or talk about the movie ‘Danga.’ Also, ‘Hangor Nodi Grenade’ is the place where many of my acted movies have been specifically mentioned by the audience. Now that the audience feels good about the movies I have acted in, it is my greatest achievement as an actress. I am Suchorita today because of the love of the audience. I have suffered a lot from the very beginning of my acting career. I had infinite love for movies. I am still working on this love,” the actress also said.
It is noted that Suchorita first acted as a child artiste in the movie ‘Bablu.’
She first acted as a heroine in the movie ‘Swikriti.’
The notable movies starring Suchorita are: ‘Somadhi,’ ‘Daku Monsur,’ ‘Noder Chand,’ Jadur Banshi,’ ‘Ashami,’ ‘Tufan,’ ‘The Father,’ ‘Jibon Nouka,’ ‘Lal Sabujer Pala,’ ‘Ankhi Milon,’ ‘Sondhi,’ ‘Koti Takar Kabin,’ ‘Chachchu,’ etc.
Rafique Sikder directed ‘Bosonto Bikel’ was Suchorita acted her last released movie, according to the actress.
