Md. Jahangir Alam elected President and D. Suman Chowdhury elected Secretary General of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association.
The 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association (BSMA) was held recently at Banani Club in the city, a press release said.
During the meeting, the Executive Committee election for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association was conducted. In the election, Md. Jahangir Alam was elected President, and Dr. Suman Chowdhury was elected Secretary General.
Additionally, Md. Shahid Ullah was elected Senior Vice President; Amer Ali Hossain, Md. Abdus Salam, and Maruf Hossain were elected Vice Presidents.
Zaker Khan Md. Enam Hossain and Md. Zakaria (Zaki) were elected as Joint Secretaries.
Saifur Rahman Khokon was elected Finance Director; Soumitra Kumar Mridha as International Affairs Director; Shariar Jahan as Organizing Director; and Sarwar Alam as Publicity Director.
Elected as Directors were Sheikh Masudul Alam Masum, Md. Ismail, Ashraf Siddique, Sayan Siraj, and Md. Hasan Mia.
